Just wanted to update all of you and let you know that Trinity is going to have surgery tomorrow at 8:00 am. We really feel like this is necessary and the neurosurgeon feels the same way. The plastic surgeon will be doing the surgery and the neurosurgeon will consult. This should just be an outpatient surgery and she will come home with us tomorrow. Please pray that the surgery is a success and pray for the doctors and nurses. We also would ask that you would pray that the insurance company will allow this doctor to be covered under our PPO. Right now he is not a provider and is not in our network. This means more money out of our pocket. We will try and appeal this, but there are no guarantees. We feel like this surgery is necessary and he is the only plastic surgeon available to do it, otherwise we will have to wait a couple weeks.
Thank you again for your thoughts and prayers. We will make sure to update you after the surgery.

Just wanted to say you're in my prayers every day that the Lord will give Trinity strength for each day and that he will bring healing to her little body. I can't imagine all that you've been through, all the decisions you've had to make and the strength you have to have every day to not give up. It's only human to feel defeated and weary, but God gives us just what we need each day to get through that one day, and take it one day at a time. I feel helpless, but I'm not hopeless at what God is doing for your family and Trinity each day. He is with each of us and is there for us in our own needs, and he knows what he's doing, and he will carry us through it all. I love you all. God hears our prayers, and he's taking action, so keep looking up! Love, Camie

Praying for you guys as you go into surgery again! Hang in there and we'll be praying this is the last one!!!

As for the insurance, you may have to appeal but as I have been told by many people, you just keep appealing and show why it was necessary and how that is the person who was available and they will understand. I'm wondering if you can also have a social worker type of person from the hospital speak with your insurance to give you some help so you don't have to fight very hard. My experience is that if she needed it urgently (which she does) and that is the person available, then they need to make it work. Same goes for if you are out-of-network and have to go to the ER . . . they know it's an emergency and initially it will look like out-of-network but after some explaining to them, it usually gets cleared up. I hope you don't stress about that too much going into tomorrow so you can focus on your baby girl. Adorable picture of the girls!
Love,
Sarah Turnbull and family
